Anti-static agents primarily work to keep dust and similar particles from clinging to polyolefin-based products such as thin wall packaging and food packaging, caps and closures, homeward and containers, as well as automotive parts and other applications.

Anti-static properties are also useful in production phases, reducing the tendency of polymers to stick to machinery (enabling manufacturers to run their machinery at higher speeds), making it easier to keep the factory clean and reducing the incidence of static shocks for production line workers.
